I wanted to file a small claims against BOFA for a deposit given in regards to the purchase of a property. Due to various issues with the seller, etc; the purchase did not go through. I contacted BofA and they would not release my deposit and after talking to family attorney; he recommended filing a small claims and using Civiltree. I decided to file the case myself, went to Van Nuys Courthouse East at 6230 Sylmar Ave in Van Nuys and filed my case. On the day of the trial, my case was dismissed because I had filed against the wrong entity/and served the wrong agents. I contacted Civiltree as referred originally by Awed and Awed, LLP; law firm. MINOR NAME CHANGE WITH CIVILTREE.com I contact civiltree and ordered a minor name change for the state of Oregon, Washington County. I placed the order on 01/17 and received my package on 01/27; when I called civiltree to inquire about the delay, I was told from the paralegal that most courthouse usually revise/amend and change their name change procedure; and that civiltree was doing the extra research needed to make sure I received correct information. I ed a "small claims" case in Georgia's Magistrate Court from out of state. The entire process was well executed with minimal effort on my part. The form they used on the website to gather the information they needed was very helpful to me in thinking through the amount of the claim and the documentation I would need to prove the claim. CivilTree completed the forms, mailed them to me, I had them notarized and mailed them back. Then they filed the case and served the other party. After receiving the documents, the other party promptly wrote me a check for the full amount of my claim. CivilTree then instructed me to write to the court clerk and cancel the claim. It was very efficient and they provided me with instructions along the way. Because all of our communication was online, I think that part of the website could be enhanced for those of us unfamiliar with the process, but I give them 5 stars nonetheless.
I am writing a review for the excellent services provided by CIVILTREE with regards to a small claims against CARMAX SUPERSTORES who sold me a damaged car and did not disclose this information at time of sale. Because I am 68 years old and do not have the legal knowledge as to pursuing my legal rights under federal and California state laws, I came across CIVILTREE on a Google search. MINOR NAME CHANGE WITH CIVILTREE.com I contact civiltree and ordered a minor name change for the state of Oregon, Washington County. I placed the order on 01/17 and received my package on 01/27; when I called civiltree to inquire about the delay, I was told from the paralegal that most courthouse usually revise/amend and change their name change procedure; and that civiltree was doing the extra research needed to make sure I received correct information. Upon receipt of documents, I noticed all the new revisions on my forms(thank you Karen!). I had to wait an extra 2-3 days; but thank you for the extra work and research. I know my application was completed since I did receive an email, but I was impressed and grateful for the extra work. My statutes of limitation was running for the state of GA; I contacted various firms and the indicated that I had to have my case filed within 02/28 of this year (most of their response for me was to get a plane ticket to GA and file my case personally at cobb county). I ed a "small claims" case in Georgia's Magistrate Court from out of state. The entire process was well executed with minimal effort on my part. The form they used on the website to gather the information they needed was very helpful to me in thinking through the amount of the claim and the documentation I would need to prove the claim. CivilTree completed the forms, mailed them to me, I had them notarized and mailed them back. Then they filed the case and served the other party. After receiving the documents, the other party promptly wrote me a check for the full amount of my claim. CivilTree then instructed me to write to the court clerk and cancel the claim. It was very efficient and they provided me with instructions along the way. Because all of our communication was online, I think that part of the website could be enhanced for those of us unfamiliar with the process, but I give them 5 stars nonetheless.
I am writing a review for the excellent services provided by CIVILTREE with regards to a small claims against CARMAX SUPERSTORES who sold me a damaged car and did not disclose this information at time of sale. Because I am 68 years old and do not have the legal knowledge as to pursuing my legal rights under federal and California state laws, I came across CIVILTREE on a Google search. Civil Tree did a fantastic job in a difficult small claims case, The defendant, in this case, was avoiding service, and Civil Tree stayed on it the whole time. They had to file two extensions with the Court, and attempted many, many times to have the defendant served. We finally got a judgement against the defendant. Filing your small claims case with Civil Tree is well worth the money.
Job well done. I reside in Dallas, Texas and had to bring a suit against a corporation in Memphis, TN “American Home Shield). I have no knowledge of the legal system so I contacted my local courthouse; the clerk was very uncooperative and would not provide me any assistance but indicated that I had to travel to TN to file my case before hanging up the phone on me. It is good to know, Civil Tree is on your side for a Legal Service. They keep going and going until satisfaction is the result, even in a case, with bankruptcy involved. Ok, I can say that Civiltree is not the average corporation, cause the average corporations these days are there to make a profit regardless of their services or products sold. I used small claims services for the state of Colorado, and first hired Legalzoom.com, to my acceptation I received a bunch of forms with instructions on how to file; pay filings; and how to serve the defendant. I am an out-of-state individual, and was looking for a service to do all this for me. Too make the long story short, I used civiltree.com, they filed the case for me and served the defendant.
